THE FAIR WELCOMES EXHIBITORS TO AILENE CAPEN FLORAL HALL

Take part in one of Vermont’s oldest traditions at the State’s oldest fair!  The Ailene Capen Floral Hall is once again the place where garden produce, cooking specialties, artistic endeavors and original works are on display.  There are three new categories to be judged and awarded this year.  They are Pickles, Bread and handmade Clothing. 
 
Entries are accepted August 24th from 4 to 7PM and August 25th from 9 to 10AM.  Two items per category for adults is allowed with unlimited entries for vegetables, fruit and all children items in all categories.  Judging will take place from 10 to 12 on Friday the 25th.  The Hall is open for viewing from noon on Friday, the 25th until closing and opens at 10AM on Saturday and Sunday.  Entries must be picked up by 3:00 on Sunday, August 27th.
 
The 2017 Exhibit Categories are:
(Adults, 2 entries per category only. Children under 16 unlimited)
 
* Vegetables, fruits and eggs (Unlimited entries adult and child)
* Plants and cut flowers 
* Hay
* Preserves and Pickles
* Baked goods & Bread
* Needlecraft & Clothing
* Arts and Crafts (Must have been created within 2 years and not been awarded a cash prize Bondville Fair.)
 
Ribbons and cash prizes are awarded for first ($4), second ($3) and third ($2) place in each category with rosettes awarded for outstanding displays.  Children under 16 are judged separately in the Vegetable and Arts & Crafts categories.
